These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ecommerce Scale Inc. (“Change Gear”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of our website, checklists, and gear buying guides.

Inherent risks of outdoor recreation

Outdoor recreational activities, including hiking, backpacking, camping, mountain trekking, and wilderness travel, carry inherent and unavoidable risks of serious personal injury, illness, hypothermia, dehydration, wildlife encounters, environmental hazards, and death.

The gear buying guides, equipment overviews, and packing checklists on Change Gear are provided solely for general informational and educational purposes. They do not constitute professional wilderness guide advice, wilderness survival training, medical advice, or personal safety certification:

  • You are solely responsible for evaluating your personal physical fitness, backcountry experience, and outdoor skill level.
  • You must independently verify trail conditions, weather forecasts, route terrain, wildlife advisories, and local park regulations before embarking on any hike or camping trip.
  • You are responsible for inspecting your equipment before every outing, confirming proper fit, and understanding how to operate safety gear, water filtration devices, and emergency communication tools.
